This work tries to penetrate, again, into the existing relation between the books of chivalry and the Quixote. Determined textual and episodic relations indicate us that Cervantes knows and applies elements of the previous literary aesthetics and raises an original exit by means of the humour. The adventure of the lions can be linked with a famous event of Amadís de Gaula. But also it serves to demonstrate how Cervantes manages to form the comical effect across meaningful detours and the wise managing of the perspectivism. At the same time, it reveals the process of dignifying that don Quixote experiments on the Segunda parte of the work, a title where the conjunction of the admirable and the humour allow his author to realize a surpassed synthesis of the literary chivalrous tradition. |
