| Descripción: | By and large administering Libraries may appear simple task, especially when it comes to administering a larger institution like, university or college of higher education of which Library is just simply one small component or a sub-institution. Administration and management of each individual sub-institution of a larger establishment is as important as the establishment itself because an establishment can never function efficiently in absence of its well administered and efficiently managed sub-Institutions. Libraries since being one of the important and integral components of any larger educational establishment need to be administered and managed very well. The present study is simply a discourse which lasts around the administration and management of Libraries and the innovative practices thereof library managers should imbibe in administering these institutions more efficiently. Normally Library administration is kept at bay when it comes to academics for the fact libraries are passively involved with teaching, thereby most of the time contribution of libraries go unnoticed among university academia. In universities, administration and academia goes hand in hand and library professionals since being part and parcel of university academia should in no case be let aside or sidelined. In absence of organizing Refresher & Orientation course for library subordinate staff, the urgent need is to groom innovation among library professionals at all levels so as to come to their rescue as and when need arises. |
