| Descripción: | L’insertion des nouveaux professeurs et professeures représente un enjeu de taille en ce qui touche le renouvellement du corps professoral. Dans cet article, on procède à une analyse secondaire de données tirées de trois études. Ce type d’analyse permet d’abord de révéler divers aspects du processus d’insertion dans les universités québécoises, processus incluant l’étape du recrutement et les six premières années en emploi. En outre, il met en évidence l’interrelation des facteurs en présence au moment de l’insertion, à savoir les aspects structurels (ex. : les politiques publiques, les dispositifs de recherche, le fi nancement des universités ainsi que de la recherche) qui infl uent sur les exigences fixées au moment du recrutement et aux fi ns de l’agrégation, leur effet sur les tâches du travail professoral ainsi que les stratégies personnelles déployées par les nouveaux professeurs et professeures, dans un tel contexte, afin de composer avec les tensions et les défi s inhérents à cette étape de la carrière.Integrating new professors is a considerably challenging aspect of revitalizing a faculty. The following article undertakes an analysis of secondary data from three studies. This enables, notably, the identification of the various stages of the integration process in Québec universities, including recruitment and the fi rst six years of employment. In addition, the analysis emphasizes the inter-relation between factors present at the time of hiring—structural frameworks such as public policies, research infrastructures, funding for research and universities—that infl uence the requirements set at that stage and at the end of aggregation, their impact on the faculty members’ workload, as well as individual strategies adopted by new professors in this context in order to address the inherent diffi culties and challenges of this career stage. |
