Descripción: El presente estudio pretende analizar la eficacia de un taller sobre la “Prevención de abuso sexual en niños”. Con este propósito, se realizó una investigación con 31 niños entre 8 y 9 años de edad de cuarto año de básica del Centro Educativo Fiscal Mixto “Carlos Aguilar”, ubicado en Cumbayá dentro de la ciudad de Quito. Como herramienta se utilizó un cuestionario realizado por la Universidad Sek de Chile. Los resultados demuestran que el taller causó un impacto positivo, aumentando el conocimiento de los niños sobre el abuso sexual y afrontamiento frente a situaciones de riesgo o abusivas. Obteniendo un valor de t= -22.33 y valor de p=0.00. Finalmente no se encontró ningún efecto negativo causado por el taller.
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of a workshop on "Prevention of child sexual abuse." For this purpose an investigation was conducted with 31 children between 8 and 9 years old. This children are cursing the third grade of the Public Elementary School "Carlos Aguilar" located in Cumbayá, Quito. The investigation was conducted through a questionnaire developed by the Sek University of Chile. The results demonstrate that the workshop had a positive impact, raising awareness of the children about sexual abuse and coping with risky or abusive situations. Obtaining a t value = -22.33 and p value = 0.00. Finally, there was no negative effect found caused by the workshop.
