| Descripción: | The Radio Canada International news and current affairs program "Canadian Journal" is used as a case study to develop an adequate theory of news work. A theory of news structuration is proposed which seeks to overcome the dichotomy between agency and structure in news sociology. News is conceived as a social production which constitutes, and is constituted by, its institutional conditions. |
