| Descripción: | Although Labrador is the oldest discovered portion of the North American mainland it has remained isolated from the general development of the continent and, even today, knowledge of its climate and geography is still far from complete. The establishment of weather stations throughout the Ungava Peninsula during the war has recently made available more material from which to deduce the atmospheric conditions of the region. The purpose of the present study is to examine the results shown by this slowly growing mass of meteorological data and from it and other existing records make some evaluation of climatic conditions and their influence on life and activity.[...] |
