Descripción: The theme of this thesis is the method of learning. At the beginning of section 11 of the Religio Medici, Browne writes, "In my solitary and retired imagination … I … forget not to contemplate his and his attributes … especially those two mighty ones, his wisedome and eternitie" (lines 305-309). He is referring to the wisdom and eternity of God: our concern will be his contemplation of the wisdom. The very essence of God's wisdom is knowledge of all things, a knowledge he possesses because he made all things. But his greatest wisdom is in the knowledge of the one thing he did not make -- himself.
