| Descripción: | The problem of mixing of subsonic circular jets with stationary fluid and with a stream at right angle has been studied. The present knowledge and conventional methods of approach to this problem are described. Applying Elrod's momentum diffusion theory of heat conduction to the mixing of a circular jet issued to a stationary fluid, the velocity distribution in the mixing region has been calculated and compared to Corrsin's experiment, and proved to be not quite satisfactory, especially at distance near the jet orifice.
