| Descripción: | Kojic acid can be produced by a microbiological process from carbohydrates, and therefore it might serve as a very useful outlet for industrial and agricultural carbohydrate wastes. Since the acid has not yet found practical applications, the present research is directed toward making such application more probable by elucidating certain aspects of the chemistry of kojic acid where basic knowledge is at present lacking. |
