| Descripción: | One of the most outstanding developments in chemical kinetics has undoubtedly been the evolution of our present knowledge of atomic and tree radical reactions. The literature on this subject was comprehensively reviewed by Steacie in 1946 (1) and again in 1953*; in the interval between these years, a voluminous extension to the previous literature occurred. It is obvious, therefore, that any discussion of atomic and free radical reactions that is included in the present thesis can make no pretence to completeness; indeed the intention is to restrict it rather severely to the type of systems that are of immediate interest to a discussion of the reactions with which the experimental work has been concerned. |
