Descripción: Predictable routing in ad hoc networks attempts to find a fixed path along which the packets are forwarded, stimulated by classical routing elucidations in the Internet. Opportunistic routing alleviates the impact of poor wireless links by making use of the broadcast nature of wireless transmissions and the path diversity. The opportunistic routing decisions, in contrast, are made in an online mode by deciding the next relay based on the authentic transmission outcomes as well as a rank ordering of neighbouring nodes. By means of a reinforcement learning framework, a distributed adaptive opportunistic routing algorithm that minimizes the expected average per-packet cost for routing a packet from a source node to an intention is achieved by both sufficiently exploring the network by means of data packets and making use of the best routing opportunities. d-AdaptOR, a distributed, adaptive, and opportunistic routing algorithm whose performance is shown to be most favourable with zero knowledge regarding network topology and channel statistics was proposed. To confine the performance of a variety of adaptive schemes, however, it is advantageous to study the performance of the algorithms over a finite possibility.
