| Descripción: | Due to the wide usage of Internet technology, web based services are frequently being targeted by the attacks and have become more common in the recent times by attacking the applications of the front-end and corrupting the back-end services of the database system. Intrusion detection systems (IDS) are used to protect the services of front-end and back-end web applications by identifying the attacks by matching the misused traffic patterns when the back end database servers are attacked by the attackers. A network Intrusion Detection System can be considered into anomaly detection and misuse detection. Intrusion Detection Systems screens the system activities for malicious events and produces reports to a Management Station and helps in inspecting network packets separately in both the web server and the database system. To detect the attacks in web services, a system termed Double Guard is used. Double guard is an IDS system used in identifying the attacks in web services and provides an isolating environment preventing the hijacking from the attackers and considers the structures of web requests and database queries. |
