Descripción: The present publication forms part of a phytosociological and ecological study of Oranian thuya formations. It describes one of the four types of the formation of Tetraclinis articulata described by the author in West Algeria. Floristic observations were carried out according to the recognised conceptions of phytosociology. Species were subsequently classified, taking into account pedological and climatic factors to form 19 floristic and ecological groups. Thus, this method necessitated not only an auto-ecological study of species found in thuya formations, but also a study of species common to these and to other Oranian formations, and, more generally, of-North African "Vegetation Types".
La présente publication constitue une partie d l'étude phytosociologique et écologique de la Tétraclinaie Oranaise. En effet, elle concerne un des quatre types de formation à Tetraclinis articulata que j'ai eu l'occasion de definir dans l'Ouest algérien. Les releves floristiques ont été établis conformément aux conceptions classiques de la phytosociologie. Les espèces ont été ensuite classées en tenant compte des facteurs pédologiques et climatiques pour constituer 19 groupes floristiques et écologiques. Cette méthode de travail a done nécessité, non seulement une étude auto-écologique des espèces se rencontrant dans le cadre géographique de la formation à thuyas, mais également de celles qui sont communes à cette dernière et aux autres "types de végétation" oranais, et plus généralement, nord-africains.
