La consideración del arte rupestre del arco Mediterráneo como Bien de Interés Cultural y su inclusión en la lista de Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO implica el cumplimiento de una serie preceptos necesarios para su mejor conocimiento y, consecuentemente, conservación. Por ello, en la Comunidad Valenciana se ha llevado a cabo un proyecto de actualización del catálogo de este tipo de yacimientos iniciado en el año 2010 con el inventario de la provincia de Alicante. The consideration of the rock art in the Mediterranean bassin as Cultural Heritage Asset and its inclusion in the list of World Heritage sites involves the achievement of several requirements necessary for its better understanding and, consequently, its maintenance. For that reason, in the Valencian Community, a project to update the catalogue of this kind of sites has been developed, starting in 2010 with the inventory of the province of Alicante. |
