Descripción: The purpose of this pilot study was to develop and examine the psychometric properties of the Diabetic Care Teacher Support Questionnaire, a 31-item self-report instrument to assess diabetic children’s perceptions of the diabetes specific support received from their teachers at school. A total of 121 school-aged children with diabetes (8-14 years) participated in the study. Analysis revealed an appropiate internal consistency. This instrument is a new development in the area of childhood diabetes specific measurements and seem to have acceptable psychometrics properties that have to be endorsed in future studies.
