Descripción: The different transitions and reactions involved in the thermal processing of ternary EVA-PE-ADC mixtures, with different concentrations of polyethylene (PE) and azodicarbonamide (ADC), used as foaming agent, have been studied by means of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The effect of the concentration of PE in the ternary samples is practically linear showing an increase in the fusion heat of the PE and the PE domains of the EVA. On the contrary, the mechanism of the thermal decomposition of the ADC that the ternary mixtures contain is strongly dependent of its concentration in the sample showing clear deviations from linearity.
