La Globalización económica hace que un distrito industrial como el del juguete adopte estrategias de supervivencia propias y diferenciadas. Estas estrategias se dirigen hacia la transformación de su base industrial hasta identificarse con nuevos campos productivos en relación con el metal y el plástico, que van desde la fabricación de muebles metálicos hasta la automoción o la aeronáutica. Estos cambios no tendrían posibilidad de adoptarse fuera del distrito. Las pequeñas empresas y el conocimiento productivo esparcido están permitiendo esta transformación. En este artículo se analiza el inicio del distrito juguetero y la transformación que se está dando. Para ello se detalla el proceso de descentralización productiva habida por la crisis del juguete, la función que tiene la atmósfera industrial en el territorio, y ya por último, el papel que los distintos sujetos e instituciones están representando; se acaba con las dificultades y los límites que el proceso está teniendo. Economic globalisation leads an industrial district, such as the toy industry, to use both their own and differentiated survival strategies. These strategies are aimed at transforming the industrial base until it comes in line with other production areas related with metal and plastic; ranging from metal furniture manufacture to cars or aeronautics. It would be impossible to make these changes outside the district. It is the small companies with their wide-ranging experience in production which are enabling this transformation. The beginnings of the toy district and the transformation taking place are analysed in this paper. It is for this reason that the production decentralisation process, due to the crisis in the sector, the effect that the industrial atmosphere has on the area, and the role played by the various subjects and institutions represented, are dealt with in detail. The work finishes with the difficulties and limits encountered during this the process. |
