Descripción: Cuando se requiere realizar el posicionamiento de puntos con la tecnología GPS es necesario seleccionar el método a ser utilizado considerando la precisión que se desea obtener y así como las características del equipo disponible para tal fi n. Se hace entonces necesario que el usuario de estas tecnologías sea conocedor de las distintas fuentes de error que afectan a este tipo de mediciones de manera que el método seleccionado permita la cancelación o minimización de esos errores; el método Estático Diferencial para el posicionamiento preciso de puntos es un método que ofrece esa ventaja al usuario cuando se requiere posicionar puntos de manera precisa. El postproceso, etapa en la que mediante la utilización del software apropiado, se procesan los datos brutos almacenados en las unidades de memoria de cada receptor, debe ser entendido por los usuarios para poder ejecutar el manejo instrumental del software así como la correcta interpretación de los resultados.

At the moment of positioning points with GPS technology it becomes necessary to make an appropriate selection of the observation procedure, considering the required accuracy that is thought to be reached and keeping in mind the type of receptor that is available for such as task. However the user of these technologies have to be aware of the different error sources that affect this type of measurements and how it is possible to cancel or minimize according to the selected observation method the effect of errors present in GPS measurements, the Differential Static Positioning Method offers those advantage to the user. The post-processing of data is the stage in which by means of the use of the appropriate software the raw data stored in receivers are processed in order to obtain the position of points of interest, this process should be well understood by users in order to perform the instrumental use of the software as well as be able to make a correct interpretation of the results.
