| Descripción: | The recent emerging of the cloud computing paradigm might push this vision even further as the resource sharing services across the Internet were focused on generic storage content and CPU cycles. The world will be populated by slight and light computing devices acting mostly as frontends, while the calculation and the user’s data exists somewhere else in the “cloud”. Peer-to-peer networks are essentially used to establish exclusive resources across the Internet, new exciting deployment scenarios are raising. Particularly, some applications are proposing the establishment of overlays for the localization of services based on corresponding servants. This paper discovers the feasible overlay architectures that can be accepted to provide such services, showing how a formless solution based on a scale-free overlay topology is an efficient option to organize in this context. As a result, EQUATOR (EQUivalent servAnt locaTOR) unstructured overlay implementing the above mentioned operating principles are proposed based on an overlay construction algorithm that well approximates an ideal scale-free construction model. We present both logical and imitation results which support our overlay topology assortment and authenticate the proposed architecture. |
