| Descripción: | This article analyzes a blog written by a man who describes himself as having been in and out of homelessness and addictions over a long period of time. I use Foucault’s ideas about governmentality and technologies of the self to explore the material on this blog and to suggest that the blog is not only a technology of the self through which power is exercised but also a practice of freedom and a means to ethical of care of the self. I propose a complex dialectic between domination and liberation as the writer transforms a disciplinary practice through which power is exerted into a call for the construction of an ethical self by writing regularly for his audience of readers and followers.Cet article analyse un blog écrit par un homme qui se décrit comme ayant été dans et hors de l’itinérance et la toxicomanie sur une longue période de temps. J’utilise des idées de Foucault sur la gouvernementalité et les technologies de soi à explorer le contenu de ce blog et de suggérer que le blog n’est pas seulement une technologie de soi à travers laquelle le pouvoir est exercé, mais aussi une pratique de la liberté et un moyen de l’éthique des soins pour le soi. Je propose une dialectique complexe entre la domination et de libération que l’écrivain transforme une pratique disciplinaire à travers lequel le pouvoir est exercé dans un appel pour la construction d’une soi d’éthique en écrivant régulièrement pour son public de lecteurs et de disciples. |
