Descripción: The Six Frames for Informed Learning are designed to allow us to reflect on and analyze how we teach students to use information within our discipline-focused classroom. This workshop enables exploration of the different frames by working in groups to design example learning modules using the informed learning model. In this workshop you will explore the different ways in which educators (academics, librarians, learning counsellors, IT staff and others) ‘frame’ information literacy education based on their experience. You will discuss key differences between the frames, design hypothetical curriculum based on two of the frames, and consider the contributions of the different frames to a wider curriculum.
