Descripción: CREATIVE PROJECT: Developing Leaders to Develop Leaders: A LeadershipCurriculum for Resident Assistants at Christian CollegesThis is a leadership curriculum designed specifically for the use of resident assistants at Christian colleges. This program is designed with the leadership practices detailed in The Leadership Challenge by Kouzes and Posner while also incorporating scripture and Christian writings to highlight leadership principles. This project was developed in discovering a lack of material for leadership development available specifically for Christian college settings.Research indicates that leadership development is important for colleges. Christian leadership materials are written with a focus on biblical principles. This combination of themes gives Christian Colleges a unique opportunity to develop leaders on campus. This curriculum is set into five sessions focusing on the five main themes developed by Kouzes and Posner. These practices were "Challenging the Process, Inspiring a Shared Vision, Enabling Others to Act, Modeling the Way, and Encouraging the Heart" (Posner & Brodsky, 231).The curriculum is designed to offer a great deal of personal reflection for resident assistants, as well as a strong balance of practical assignments to correlate with their duties. Through the implementation of these assignments, resident assistants should learn to utilize other student's abilities and offer them the opportunity to enhance their leadership practices as well.Ball State UniversityMuncie, IN 47306
