Descripción: | Two movements are shaping social work in Hawai’i in the era of globalization: (a) the Assets Movement, and (b) the Indigenous Peoples Movement. Data from an asset-based Individual Development Account (IDA) program for indigenous Hawaiians are analyzed. Findings suggest that, under certain conditions, asset-based interventions may promote social development among indigenous peoples. |
