| Descripción: | The implementation of a service learning project into a manufacturing engineering course at Robert Morris University is discussed within this paper. The project has entailed the analysis of the production system of a local company utilizing several tools available in the literature, as well as recommendations for improvement. This initial experience with service learning has produced invaluable lessons, which are discussed in the paper, along with the findings and results of the service learning project. |
