In developing country like Ghana, poverty and environmental degradation is linked and this inhibits environmental sustainability. Marketing of tourism sites in Ghana can help address the challenges of reducing poverty and ensuring environmental sustainability. The paper seeks to address rural poverty and ensure environmental sustainability with a focus on protected areas in Ghana .Again the paper seeks to examine how tourism sites in Ghana can be marketed worldwide to generate socio-economic benefits that can help reduced poverty in tourism sites.
