Descripción: This paper attempts to consolidate research results concerning maize production from the past 10 years in Tanzania's Southern Highlands (SH). The study seeks to provide an overview of maize research in the area, to analyze farming systems and identify maize production constraints, to develop a basis for formulating production recommendations, to suggest improvements for specific groups of farmers, to review maize research, and indicate the future direction of experimental activities.
