Descripción: | On the structure which seeks to enable the functioning of settlements organized by MST, there are political divisions organized (PDO), such as: internal organization sectors, cores of families, regional brigades, cooperatives, associations, among others. This study aimed to understand the functioning of these spaces, on the light of gender relations, and the main implications in the daily household seated. Focused on gender relations modifications through different behaviors of gender from the management of production/reproduction activities and in the process of political representation. The object of study was the Santo Dias settlement, located in the municipality of Guapé in the south of the state of Minas Gerais. In a total area of 1.788 hectares, the settlement is comprised 49 families of rural workers, organized by MST. The qualitative research was carried out with semi-structured interviews, focal groups, examination of documents and mainly in note participant. Visits were made to develop and deepen the research. As a conclusion, we realized that there is a large participation of women as representatives of coordinating cores of families, internal organization sectors and the settlement´s association. The process of collective organization characterized by horizontal approach to search, interfered in different social roles of women in rural areas, among other things, stimulating everyday participation of women in decision-making bodies of the settlement, is for changes and/or relaxation of gender relations. However, relational patterns are also played forfeiter which female and male naturalize assignments, especially in traditional home where relations between men and women appear to still be at work, home, in care of children and consequently in the accumulation of activities. Anyway, we cannot leave aside the progress in gender equality search, whether they originate in the struggle for land and assimilation of MST´s political lines, mainly in the joint land by titration double and quotas for women in the OPD, but, above all, by the conquest of men and women who fight against any kind of inequality in day to day. |
