Descripción: Students and a teacher at the Buckland Center School circa 1893. Note the barefoot boys and what appear to be the crocheted collars on some of the girls dresses. Names of the teacher and students are: Teacher: Addie Dodge Brown; Students (Top Row): Merritt Ware, Carl Doane, Clifton Haskell, Leon Boemer , Julia Goddard, Percy Taylor, Alice Maynard, Cora Keach, Josephine Griswold, Edith Hawks. Students (Bottom Row): Linwood Elmer, Wayne Shaw, Halsey Shaw, Carrie Smith, Grace Ward, Annie Griswold, Ida Southwick. Some of the known birth years of the students listed range from 1879 to 1884. Built around 1855, this building served as a school for nearly a century. It eventually became the home of the Buckland Historical Society's museum and, as of this writing in March 2010, is open seasonally on the 2nd and 4th Sundays in July and August each year.
