Se plantea un estudio semiológico del emblema de la Cruz Roja y un diagnóstico comparativo del contenido sígnico y simbólico del emblema con las noticias de medios escritos. El análisis toma como herramienta la semiótica. Se ha recolectado información necesaria como la historia, el uso, considerando además todas las partes que conforman el emblema como el color y la cruz. Se levantó información del Movimiento Internacional y de Cruz Roja Ecuatoriana tomando en cuenta su historia, visión, misión y objetivos. Se establece como metodología el monitoreo de medios impresos y el análisis de contenido de noticias. La metodología elegida tiene la finalidad de conseguir datos medibles que en conjunto con el análisis muestran la imagen que CRE tiene en medios impresos.Y finalmente se concluye que la cruz roja sobre fondo blanco es un signo constituido por símbolos y que como tal le pertenece a toda la humanidad y no a una institución. Y que al ser un signo constituido por símbolos es incluyente y tiende a resignificarse This research offers a semiological study of the Red Cross emblem, and a comparative study of the signs and symbols contained within it and the news published by print media. The analysis takes >semiotics as its tool. Necessary information has been collected regarding the history, use and above all, the features that comprise the emblem, such as the use of color and the cross itself. Information was obtained on the International Movement as well as on the Ecuadorian Red Cross, taking into account its history, vision, mission and objectives. The methodology employed involved monitoring of print media sources and conducting content analysis of its published news, with the objective of obtaining measurable data that when subject to analysis elucidates the image that the Ecuadorian Red Cross holds amongst the print media. It is concluded that the use of a red cross over a white background represents a sign comprised of symbols, and as such belongs to humanity at large not solely to one organization. Similarly, given that it is a sign constituted by symbols, the image is inclusive and tends to take on new meanings. |
