Descripción: Cannibalism within different size group of sea bass Lates calcarifer fry has beenstudied under hatchery rearing conditions. The mean cannibalistic percentagewas high, when large and small size group (21.8 + 1.60mm and 11.6 + 1.02 mm,6.8 + 0.75 mm and 11.6 + 1.02 mm) were reared in the same container. Higherrate of cannibalism was observed without feed than with feed and increasedwith duration of rearing. When the same size group fry were reared, rate ofcannibalism was significantly low in all the size groups. The results indicatedthe importance of gradation and frequent feeding for better survival and growthof seabass fry during hatchery rearing
