Descripción: | One of many events held in 2009 to mark Fred Anderson’s eightieth birthday, “Celebrating a Jazz Hero” was co-organized by Lauren Deutsch of the Jazz Institute of Chicago and Michael Orlove of the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs. Six panelists joined Anderson to discuss his life and legacy before an audience at the Chicago Cultural Center. The symposium began with a brief interview of Anderson by panelist Paul Steinbeck. |
