Descripción: Until the present century, owing mainly to inadequate observations and perhaps to the legend of a successful transplant of a whole leg from a dead Ethiopian to a devout member of the early church by two "Saints", transplantation was considered to be solely a surgical problem. The careful observations of more recent workers have corrected this misconception.
