Descripción: El cáncer constituye una enfermedad sistémica, por lo que las drogas antineoplásicas pueden ser efectivas en neoplasias sistémicas. La quimioterapia usualmente se utiliza combinando dos o más agentes antineoplásicos (poliquimioterapia). El objetivo del presente trabajo es estudiar los tratamientos quimioterápicos realizados en pacientes internados en el Hospital Municipal de Oncología y relacionarlo con las distintas patologías. Se recolectaron datos de las historias clínicas de 29 pacientes de clínica médica, se observó una gran diversidad de tratamientos quimioterápicos y también se hallaron protocolos que se utilizan en más de una patología. El tratamiento empleado más frecuentemente es la combinación de tratamiento quimioterápico y tratamiento radiante. Se observó una correlación entre los tratamientos utilizados y los que figuraban en la bibliografía.
Cancer constitutes a systemic disease, so anticancer drugs can be effective in systemic neoplasic diseases. Chemotherapy is usually used as combined chemotherapy (polichemotherapy). The object of the present work is to study chemotherapic treatments applied to hospitaiized patients in the Municipal Oncology Hospital "María Curie" of Buenos Aires, Argentina and try to find some relationship between chemotherapic treatments and tiie different diseases. Data were obtained from the clinical history of twenty nine patients. A great diversity of chemoterapic treatments were observed and it was found schedules used in more of one disease. Treatments more usually used were those that combined chemotherapy and radiation. It was found a good correlation between the treatments employed and those found in the bibliography.
