Descripción: Four new species of Theraneis Spinola, collected in Venezuela, Brazil and Peru are described and illustrated. Theraneis is reported for the first time from Venezuela. The distribution pattern of the silvery pubescence as well as the color of the hemelytra are shown to be good characters to distinguish the species. A key for the separation of most of the species is included.
