This paper investigates quantized feedback control problems forunmanned aerial vehicles, where the sensors and the controller areconnected by a digital communication network with data-ratelimitations. Different from the existing ones, a new bit-allocationalgorithm on the basis of the singular values of the plant matrix isproposed to encode the plant states. A lower bound on the data rateis presented to ensure stabilization of the unstable plant. It isshown in our results that, the algorithm can be employed for themore general case. An illustrative example is given to demonstratethe effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
