Descripción: ABSTRACT The most important disadvantage of the ski-jump spillways is the scouring at the downstream of the spillway where the flow hits the ground. For this reason, it is important that the flow is thrown from the end of the spillway to a safe distance. In this study, a spillway model was designed to provide a safe distance at low discharges. In order to examine the efficiency of the new model, firstly, a basic ski-jump spillway model with 220  toe angle was constructed. On this model, several experiments with various discharges were performed. All experiments of the first model were repeated on the newly designed model. The efficiency of the new model was examined by comparing the results of the experiments of the two models.    Key Words: Ski-jump spillways, Jet trajectory, Jet length
